Most of the animals we trap are unaggressive by nature, and want to have as little to do with us as we do with them!
Because their natural habitat is becoming smaller and smaller due to the rapid growth of human population, they are forced to move closer and closer to us.
By taking the following preventative measures, coexisting with these animals becomes easier for both animal and human:
- don't leave garbage or pet food out at night
- don't provide denning sites such as wood or rock piles, or accessible spaces under sheds, garages and porches
- fill any openings under concrete slabs with dirt
- close off openings under buildings with boards or wire screening that extends at least 8 inches underground
